Jaipur hosted a two-day regional conference of Labour, Employment and Industry Secretaries of States and UTs from 14 January 2026, inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje. It is the second of five regional conferences planned by the Labour Ministry to help States implement the four Labour Codes, which codify 29 labour laws, and to discuss issues concerning ESIC, EPFO and the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana. Union Labour Secretary Vandana Gurnani and Rajasthan Minister of State Gautam Kumar Dak also attended.
