The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) disbursed margin money subsidy of ₹300 crore to 11,480 service-sector beneficiaries across the country under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) on 17 June 2025, in virtual mode from its Rajghat office in New Delhi. The disbursement was against loan sanctions of ₹906 crore. KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar released the subsidy, with CEO Roop Rashi present, and all six zones took part. The South zone received the largest share, ₹116 crore for 4,565 projects. Since inception up to 2024-25, PMEGP has helped set up 10,18,185 micro enterprises with margin money subsidy of ₹27,166 crore.
