IIM Ahmedabad to set up Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence with ₹100-crore endowment

On 29 January 2026 IIM Ahmedabad exchanged an MoU to set up the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence, funded by a ₹100-crore endowment from alumna Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon and Ranjan Tandon.

IIM Ahmedabad exchanged an MoU with Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon, an alumna of the PGP Class of 1975, and Ranjan Tandon to establish the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence at IIMA, with an endowment of ₹100 crore. The MoU was exchanged in New Delhi on 29 January 2026 in the presence of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, with Ambassador Vinay Kwatra joining virtually from the USA, ahead of the India–AI Impact Summit 2026.
