The fifth Khelo India University Games will be held in seven cities of Rajasthan from 24 November to 5 December 2025, with 23 medal sports and kho-kho as a demonstration sport (PIB, 16 October 2025).
Summary
The fifth edition of the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) will be held in seven cities of Rajasthan — Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota and Bharatpur — from 24 November to 5 December 2025, Sports Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya announced, PIB reported on 16 October 2025. There will be 23 medal sports and one demonstration sport, kho-kho, and more than 5,000 athletes are expected. Beach volleyball, canoeing and kayaking, and cycling are being introduced in KIUG for the first time. At the previous edition, held in North-East India, Chandigarh University were champions, followed by Lovely Professional University and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Khelo India is the flagship Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
