On 27 October 2025, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approved Kharif 2025-26 procurement plans for pulses and oilseeds in Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, worth ₹15,095.83 crore in total. The approvals were given under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay SanraksHan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) and other schemes. They include 100% procurement of urad in Telangana, 100% procurement of arhar in Odisha, the largest Price Support Scheme (PSS) procurement of moong, urad and soybean in Maharashtra, and soybean procurement under the Price Deficiency Payment Scheme (PDPS) in Madhya Pradesh. Chouhan said 100% procurement of tur, urad and masoor is arranged through NAFED and NCCF.
