The third edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 3.0) was inaugurated in Varanasi on 15 February 2025 by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union MoS L. Murugan. Nearly 1,200 delegates from Tamil Nadu will attend the 10-day event, themed on Sage Agasthyar, being held during the Maha Kumbh. Pradhan quoted the Tamil verse 'Neerellam Gangai, Nilamellam Kashi' of Pandya king Parakrama Pandiyan, meaning all water is as sacred as the Ganga and every land as revered as Kashi. In a message, PM Narendra Modi recalled the bond between Kaveri and Ganga.
