VijAIpatha, a pilot Artificial Intelligence, STEM and robotics education initiative for government schools, was launched by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at the Government Girls' Pre-University College at Amaravati in Hosapete taluk, Vijayanagara district, Karnataka on 20 December 2025. The VijAIpatha pilot is implemented by the Cyient Foundation with the Department of Education, Government of Karnataka, and sets up AI–STEM labs in five government schools to benefit more than 2,000 students of Classes 6 to 10. More than 100 teachers are being trained in the first phase, with computers, robotics kits and broadband in each lab.
