Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh inaugurated India's first-of-its-kind CSIR Innovation Complex in Mumbai through virtual mode on 17 January 2025 and dedicated it to start-ups and industry. The complex is spread over nine floors with 24 ready-to-move incubation labs, plus office and networking spaces for start-ups, MSMEs, industry and CSIR labs, and will offer regulatory support for SOP-driven studies. At the event, six memoranda were signed between CSIR and institutions including IIT Bombay, iCreate and NRDC, and 50 technology transfers were made from CSIR institutes to start-ups, MSMEs and institutions. CSIR DG N. Kalaiselvi attended.
