IWAI hands over Kalughat terminal in Bihar to PPP operator; cargo starts at Haldia MMT
The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) said on 7 November 2025 that the Kalughat Intermodal Terminal in Saran district, Bihar, had been handed over to a PPP operator and that cargo operations had begun at the Haldia Multi-Modal Terminal in West Bengal, both under the Jal Marg Vikas Project on National Waterway-1.
