India's MoS Kirti Vardhan Singh joins forest rangers' recognition ceremony at IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi

On 11 October 2025 in Abu Dhabi, Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Kirti Vardhan Singh took part in the 'Recognition Ceremony of Forest Rangers' on the sidelines of the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025, PIB reported on 12 October 2025. He congratulated IUCN and the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) for recognising frontline forest staff, saying that while countries have enacted laws and policies to protect forests and wildlife, it is rangers and support staff who implement them on the ground. He said the Government supports frontline staff with capacity building and technology such as drone surveillance and satellite tracking.
