On 9 December 2024, at the Yantar Shipyard in Kaliningrad, Russia, INS Tushil (F 70), the latest multi-role stealth guided-missile frigate, was commissioned into the Indian Navy in the presence of Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh. It is an upgraded Krivak III class frigate of Project 1135.6, of which six are already in service - three Talwar class ships built at Baltiysky shipyard, St Petersburg, and three Teg class ships built at Yantar. INS Tushil, the seventh in the series, is the first of two upgraded additional follow-on ships. Its keel was laid on 12 July 2013 and it was launched in October 2021; it can exceed 30 knots.
