Indian Navy sail training ship INS Sudarshini arrived at Antigua on 27 May 2026 after her first Atlantic crossing, a 19-day passage from Mindelo, Cape Verde, as part of the Lokayan 26 expedition.

Sail Training Ship INS Sudarshini arrived at Antigua on 27 May 2026 after completing a trans-Atlantic passage under the Lokayan 26 expedition. It was her first Atlantic crossing; the last such crossing by an Indian Navy sail ship was by INS Tarangini in 2007. The Mindelo (Cape Verde)–Antigua leg, the longest of the expedition, took 19 days under sail. During this leg the ship crossed 10,000 nautical miles since leaving Kochi on 20 January 2026. She now begins the Caribbean and American phase, including SAIL 250 events.
