INS Anjadip, the fourth ship of the Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC) project, was commissioned into the Indian Navy at Chennai Port, Tamil Nadu, on 27 February 2026, in a ceremony presided over by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi. Named after the historical island off the coast of Karwar, the 77-metre, 1,400-tonne 'Dolphin Hunter' is designed for anti-submarine warfare in shallow littoral waters and has over 80% indigenous content. It follows INS Arnala and Androth in the class; representatives of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, and L&T Shipbuilding, Kattupalli, attended. The ship has been placed under the Flag Officer Commanding, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Naval Area.
