Built with Astronomical Industries Pvt Ltd on 55,000 sq ft of land at Bicholi Hapsi, the plant will turn wood and branches into sawdust and wooden pellets as an alternative to coal. Indore Municipal Corporation will earn a royalty of about ₹3,000 per tonne for supplying wood and branches. The city produces about 30 tonnes of green waste a day, rising to 60-70 tonnes in autumn.
