Indian Railways' Swachhata Pakhwada 2024 covered 45.20 crore sq m

On 2 November 2024, the Railway Ministry said its Swachhata Pakhwada (1–15 October 2024) covered 45.20 crore square metres, with over 2.63 lakh saplings planted.

Summary

On 2 November 2024, the Ministry of Railways reported results of the Swachhata Pakhwada it observed from 1 to 15 October 2024. The drive covered 45.20 crore square metres of area, drew over 4.5 lakh participants and planted over 263,000 saplings. In 2,259 anti-littering drives, 12,609 persons were penalised. Railway Board Chairman and CEO Satish Kumar launched the Pakhwada on 1 October 2024 at Rail Bhawan.
