On 17 November 2024 at Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd (TRSL), Kolkata, the fourth 25-tonne bollard pull (25T BP) tug of a series of six, 'Yuvan', was launched, and the keels of the fifth and sixth tugs, 'Ojas' and 'Sabal', were laid. Cmde Ceasar Basu, Group Commander NCC Kolkata, presided. The contract for six tugs was given to TRSL under 'Make in India' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', and the tugs are built under Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) rules. The tugs will help naval ships and submarines with berthing, turning and manoeuvring in confined waters and provide afloat firefighting support.
