The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) signed an MoU on 27 October 2025 at ICG Headquarters, New Delhi, to integrate DigiLocker into the ICG's administrative framework. It was signed by NeGD President and CEO Nand Kumarum and IG Jyotindra Singh, Deputy Director General (HRD). ICG record offices and units will issue digitally signed, verifiable records such as service records, training and experience certificates through DigiLocker, and candidates' academic documents will be verified digitally during recruitment.
