IndiaAI and WHO invite abstracts for a casebook on AI in health for the Global South
The IndiaAI Mission (MeitY) and the World Health Organization announced a global call for abstracts on scalable AI in health, due by 31 October 2025, for a joint casebook whose selected entries will feature at the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 (PIB, 18 October 2025).
Summary
The IndiaAI Mission of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), with the World Health Organization (WHO), announced a global call for abstracts on impactful and scalable applications of AI in health systems, PIB reported on 18 October 2025. Researchers, innovators and institutions across the Global South may submit abstracts of up to 250 words by 31 October 2025. Shortlisted contributors will be invited to write full chapters of 2,500–3,000 words, with a chapter deadline of 15 December. The jointly developed casebook is meant as a reference for policymakers and innovators to replicate and scale AI health solutions across the Global South, and selected entries will feature at the India–AI Impact Summit 2026.
