IndiaAI launches Face Authentication Challenge for public examinations with ₹2.5 crore prize pool
On 14 October 2025 IndiaAI launched the IndiaAI Face Authentication Challenge, inviting startups and companies to build AI tools for photo verification and de-duplication in large public examinations, with a ₹2.5 crore prize pool.

On 14 October 2025 IndiaAI, an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation of MeitY, launched the IndiaAI Face Authentication Challenge under the IndiaAI Application Development Initiative. Startups and companies are invited to build an AI solution for photo verification and application de-duplication, using one-to-many matching against historical applicant databases, to protect the integrity of large-scale public examinations. Up to 10 shortlisted teams will get ₹5 lakh each to refine their solutions, and up to two top teams may get a two-year contract and up to ₹1 crore for deployment. Applications close on 25 October 2025.
