IndiaAI (MeitY) signed an MoU with the Ministry of Ayush on 31 July 2026 to bring anonymised Ayush research datasets and models onto AIKosh, India's sovereign AI repository.

IndiaAI, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Ayush, announced on 31 July 2026, to speed up AI adoption in traditional medicine. Under the MoU, the Ministry of Ayush will onboard AIKosh, India's sovereign AI repository, and contribute eligible anonymised health research datasets, metadata, AI models, toolkits and use cases. Ayush researchers will also get access to the IndiaAI Compute ecosystem. Sudeep Srivastava, COO of the IndiaAI Mission, and Dr Kavita Jain, Joint Secretary in the Ayush Ministry, signed the MoU. The MoU runs for an initial two years with automatic renewal and carries no financial commitment for either side.
