3rd India–Tanzania Joint Defence Cooperation Committee meets in Goa

On 26 November 2024, the third India–Tanzania Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC) meeting was held in Goa. The sides discussed training partnerships, service-to-service ties and maritime and defence industry cooperation. The Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary Amitabh Prasad of the Ministry of Defence, with India's High Commissioner to Tanzania Bishwadip Dey attending; the Tanzanian side was led by Land Forces Commander Maj Gen Fadhil Omary Nondo. The Tanzanian delegation was to visit Goa Shipyard Ltd, INS Hansa and the National Institute of Hydrography. The two countries have a five-year roadmap to guide defence cooperation.
