Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Saudi Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud signed an India–Saudi Arabia MoU on Cultural Cooperation in Riyadh on 9 November 2025.
Summary
The India–Saudi Arabia MoU on Cultural Cooperation covers arts, heritage, music and literature, and promotes cultural exchanges, sharing of regulatory and policy experience, participation in festivals, and exchange of knowledge on preserving cultural heritage. Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Prince Badr are also co-chairs of the newly created Ministerial Committee of Tourism and Cultural Cooperation under the India–Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council (SPC), which was announced during PM Narendra Modi's State Visit to Jeddah.
