India's score improved from 53.63 in 2024 to 54.43 out of 100. The index rates economies on four pillars, Technology, People, Governance and Impact, across 53 indicators. India ranked 1st in annual investment in telecommunication services, AI scientific publications, ICT services exports and e-commerce legislation, and 2nd among lower-middle-income countries. The Department of Telecommunications shared the results on 9 February.
