On 11 December 2024, in India, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) reported that, as of November 2024, India's total non-fossil fuel (RE) installed capacity had reached 213.70 GW, up 14.2% from 187.05 GW a year earlier. Including pipeline projects, total capacity rose 28.5% to 472.90 GW. Installed solar capacity rose 30.2%, from 72.31 GW to 94.17 GW. In FY 2024-25 up to November, 14.94 GW of new RE capacity was added, nearly double the 7.54 GW in the same period of FY 2023-24.
