India Post launches 24 Speed Post, 48 Speed Post and 24 Speed Post Parcel for time-definite delivery between six metros

Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on 17 March 2026 launched India Post's 24 Speed Post, 48 Speed Post and 24 Speed Post Parcel services, offering guaranteed next-day or two-day delivery between six metro cities.

India Post's three new premium services, 24 Speed Post, 48 Speed Post and 24 Speed Post Parcel, were launched by Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia in New Delhi on 17 March 2026. The 24 Speed Post and 24 Speed Post Parcel services promise guaranteed next-day (D+1) delivery between New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with compensation for delay, real-time tracking, OTP-based delivery and delivery on Sundays and holidays except national holidays. The 48 Speed Post service offers assured two-day (D+2) document delivery between the same metros. The services were piloted for about three months and will be extended to other Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities in phases.
