India and Oman signed a protocol of amendment to their Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Tax Evasion with respect to income taxes in Muscat on 27 January 2025. The protocol was signed by Nasser Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of Oman's Tax Authority, and Amit Narang, India's Ambassador to Oman. The signing took place on the sidelines of Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal's visit to Oman on 27–28 January 2025, during which he co-chaired the 11th India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting with Oman's Commerce Minister Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef.
