Sonowal said IMW 2025 would draw over 100,000 delegates and 500 exhibitors from more than 100 countries, with ministerial delegations from Singapore, the UAE, South Korea, Japan and Denmark. He said India plans ₹8 trillion of maritime investment and 1.5 crore jobs by 2047 under the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision, noting that inland waterway cargo has grown eightfold since 2014 and India supplies 12% of the world's seafarers.
