India to host Asia Pacific Accident Investigation Group meeting for the first time

The Ministry of Civil Aviation said on 26 October 2025 that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will host the Asia Pacific Accident Investigation Group (APAC-AIG) meeting and workshop from 28 to 31 October 2025, the first time India is hosting it. About 90 representatives from Asia-Pacific accident investigation authorities and ICAO are expected. The APAC-AIG meets annually, hosted by one of the ICAO member states in the region, to share expertise and strengthen accident and incident investigation capability. Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu was scheduled to inaugurate the event.
