India–Germany High Defence Committee meets in New Delhi

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and German State Secretary of Defence Jens Plötner co-chaired the India–Germany High Defence Committee meeting in New Delhi on 18 November 2025.

Summary

The India–Germany High Defence Committee discussed co-development and co-production of defence equipment, military-to-military cooperation and the regional security situation, and agreed to connect the two countries' defence industries, especially in niche technologies. Germany will participate in the multinational air combat exercise Tarang Shakti and the multinational naval exercise MILAN planned for 2026. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh explained India's MAHASAGAR vision for the Indian Ocean Region, which the German side acknowledged.
