India strengthens textile and sericulture cooperation with Georgia

The Ministry of Textiles said on 23 November 2025 that a delegation led by P. Sivakumar, Member Secretary of the Central Silk Board (CSB) and Secretary General of the International Sericultural Commission (ISC), concluded an engagement in Georgia during 17–21 November 2025.

The delegation took part in the 11th BACSA International Conference – CULTUSERI 2025, where Sivakumar gave the opening address for the ISC. CSB showcased its '5-in-1 Silk Stole', which combines Mulberry, Oak Tasar, Tropical Tasar, Muga and Eri silks.
