Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated the India-EFTA Desk on 10 February 2025 as a single-window mechanism for businesses from Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein looking to invest in India.

The India-EFTA Desk, inaugurated on 10 February 2025, will function as a single-window mechanism to support businesses from the European Free Trade Association countries that want to invest, expand or set up operations in India. It follows the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA). Dignitaries from all four EFTA countries attended, and a business roundtable drew over 100 companies. Switzerland's State Secretary Helene Budliger Artieda cited over CHF 10 billion of Swiss FDI in India supporting more than 1,46,000 jobs.
