India crosses 50,000 NQAS-certified public health facilities
The Health Ministry said on 7 January 2026 that 50,373 public health facilities across all states and UTs were certified under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) as of 31 December 2025, up from 10 when certification began in 2015.
