India finishes 8th among 29 nations in its first WorldSkills Asia Competition

In its first-ever participation, India finished 8th among 29 countries at the WorldSkills Asia Competition 2025, winning one silver, two bronze and three Medallions for Excellence.

Summary

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said on 30 November 2025 that India's 23 competitors, in 21 skill categories, placed India 8th at the WorldSkills Asia Competition (WSAC) 2025. Muskan won silver in Painting & Decorating; Komal Panda (Industrial Design Technology) and Shivam Singh & Dinesh R (Robot System Integration) won bronze. The third edition of WSAC had 500+ competitors in 44 skill categories from about 29 countries.
