The Commerce Ministry said on 24 September 2026 that an Indian delegation led by Additional Secretary Nitin Kumar Yadav took part in the 14th East Asia Summit Economic Ministers' Meeting and the 23rd ASEAN-India Economic Ministers Consultation in Manila, Philippines.

Economic ministers or representatives of all 11 ASEAN countries, including Timor-Leste, attended with EAS partners India, Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, Korea, Russia and the United States.
