Ikshak (Yard 3027), the third of four Survey Vessel (Large) ships, was delivered to the Indian Navy on 14 August 2025. The ship was designed by the Navy's Warship Design Bureau, its 102nd design, and built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, under a contract signed on 30 October 2018; the first two ships, INS Sandhayak and INS Nirdeshak, were commissioned on 3 February 2024 and 18 December 2024. Ikshak displaces about 3,400 tonnes, is 110 m long, can exceed 18 knots and has over 80% indigenous content. It is the first SVL ship with accommodation for women; its keel was laid on 6 August 2021 and it was launched on 26 November 2022.
