The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts inaugurated its tenth Regional Centre in Tirupati on 12 March 2025, in collaboration with the National Sanskrit University, Tirupati. The centre will focus on research, documentation and dissemination of Vaishnava Agama and Indian architectural traditions, and on the cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Bharatanatyam exponent Padma Vibhushan Dr Padma Subrahmanyam was the chief guest; IGNCA Member Secretary Sachchidanand Joshi also spoke.
