On 28 November 2024 at the closing ceremony of the 55th IFFI in Goa, Australian director Phillip Noyce received the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Cinema. Actor Vikrant Massey received the Indian Film Personality of the Year award from Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and I&B Secretary Sanjay Jaju. Navjyot Bandiwadekar won the first-ever Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film award for the Marathi film 'Gharat Ganpati'; that jury was chaired by Santhosh Sivan. The Marathi series 'Lampan', directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, won the Best Web Series (OTT) award. The ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal went to 'Crossing' by Swedish filmmaker Levan Akin. Director Ramesh Sippy and actor Jaya Prada were specially felicitated.
