The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), in collaboration with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), launched the ICRISAT Centre of Excellence for South-South Cooperation in Agriculture (ISSCA) in New Delhi on 3 June 2025, during the Conference on Global South and Triangular Cooperation. ICRISAT also signed an MoU with DAKSHIN (Development and Knowledge Sharing Initiative), a Government of India initiative for South-South cooperation. ISSCA has a digital portal that serves as a repository of validated innovations for dryland and developing regions. ICRISAT Director General Dr Himanshu Pathak and RIS Director General Professor Sachin Chaturvedi spoke at the launch.
