Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Ship Sarthak, an indigenously designed and built Offshore Patrol Vessel, arrived at Suwaikh Port in Kuwait on 9 December 2025 during its Overseas Deployment to the Gulf region. The ICG Ship Sarthak visit is a maiden port call that opens a new chapter in India–Kuwait maritime engagement under the SAGAR vision, with joint training on marine pollution response, search and rescue and maritime law enforcement during the four-day stay. The visit follows the India–Kuwait Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation signed in December 2024 during the Prime Minister's visit to Kuwait.
