The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) conducted the two-day Coastal Security Exercise Sagar Kavach-02/25 along the Maharashtra and Goa coastline on 19–20 November 2025.
Summary
Sagar Kavach-02/25 tested the readiness of agencies to counter maritime security threats, including attacks by anti-national elements on critical coastal assets. Over 6,000 personnel and more than 115 sea and air assets took part, including Indian Navy and ICG ships, ICG Dornier aircraft, Chetak helicopters and Air Cushion Vehicles, along with marine police, Customs, CISF, Maharashtra Maritime Board and fisheries boats. 19 central and 13 state agencies, one major port and 21 minor ports were involved.
