Indian Coast Guard inducts 'Adamya', first of eight Fast Patrol Vessels built by GSL

On 26 June 2025 in Goa, the Indian Coast Guard inducted 'Adamya', the first of eight Fast Patrol Vessels being built by Goa Shipyard Limited.

Summary

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) inducted 'Adamya', the first Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) under the eight-FPV project at Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), in Goa on 26 June 2025. Adamya is the first ship of its class in the ICG fleet with Controllable Pitch Propellers and indigenously developed gearboxes. The vessel carries a 30mm CRN-91 gun and two 12.7mm stabilised remote-control guns, and has an Integrated Bridge System, an Integrated Platform Management System and an Automated Power Management System. It was designed and built entirely by GSL.
