It aimed to improve preparedness, coordination and rapid response among stakeholders managing oil spill incidents along the West Bengal coast. Inaugurated by the ICG Commander (West Bengal), it included expert presentations at the Coast Guard Pollution Response Cell and a practical demonstration of pollution response equipment at HDC. Participants included Kolkata Port, IOCL Haldia Refinery, Haldia Petrochemicals, BPCL, HPCL and Reliance Haldia Terminals.
