12th IAF-RSAF Joint Military Training begins at Air Force Station Kalaikunda

On 21 October 2024, at Air Force Station Kalaikunda, West Bengal, the Indian Air Force and the Republic of Singapore Air Force began the 12th edition of the Joint Military Training (JMT) exercise.

Summary

On 21 October 2024, at Air Force Station Kalaikunda, West Bengal, the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) commenced the 12th edition of the Joint Military Training (JMT) exercise. The bilateral phase will be held from 13 to 21 November 2024, with advanced air combat simulations, joint mission planning and debriefing. The RSAF is taking part with its largest contingent so far, including F-16 and F-15 squadrons, G-550 AEW&C and C-130 aircraft, while the IAF is fielding aircraft including Rafale, Mirage 2000 and Su-30. JMT is conducted under a bilateral agreement between the two nations and comes right after RSAF's participation in Ex Tarang Shakti hosted by the IAF.
