On 1 December 2024, in Kohima, Nagaland, the 25th (silver jubilee) edition of the Hornbill Festival opened at Kisama, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Nagaland on their Statehood Day. Held annually from 1 to 10 December at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama, about 12 km from the state capital, and often called the 'Festival of Festivals', the festival has been held since 2000. As part of it, the National Archives of India and Nagaland's Arts and Culture Department organised an exhibition, 'Naga – Land & People in Archival Mirror', at the 2nd World War Museum Complex, Kisama.
