The 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival opened at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, Nagaland on 1 December 2025, coinciding with the 63rd Statehood Day of Nagaland. Governor of Nagaland and Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla was the Chief Host, Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio the Host and Tourism and Higher Education Minister Temjen Imna Along the Festival Host. The Hornbill Festival 2025 has six partner countries (Austria, Malta, France, Ireland, the UK and Switzerland) and Arunachal Pradesh as partner state, and runs from 1 to 10 December. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the people of Nagaland on their Statehood Day.
