Haryana doubles ex gratia for battle casualties to ₹1 crore, raises gratuity ceiling to ₹25 lakh

Summary

The Haryana government on 28 December 2024 approved raising the ex gratia for the families of battle casualties of armed forces and Central Armed Police Forces personnel from ₹50 lakh to ₹1 crore. It also raised the monthly pension of Matribhasha Satyagrahis of the Hindi Aandolan-1957 from ₹15,000 to ₹20,000, and increased the maximum limit of death-cum-retirement gratuity for State employees by 25%, from ₹20 lakh to ₹25 lakh. Aadhaar authentication was approved for candidates applying for posts through the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).
