Gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for May 2025 stood at ₹2,01,050 crore (about ₹2.01 lakh crore), up 16.4% from ₹1,72,739 crore in May 2024, according to data released on Sunday, 1 June 2025. Gross revenue from domestic transactions rose 13.7% to ₹1,49,785 crore, while GST from imports grew 25.2% to ₹51,266 crore. After refunds of ₹27,210 crore, net GST revenue was ₹1,73,841 crore, up 20.4%. Of the gross collection, IGST accounted for ₹1,08,836 crore, SGST ₹43,902 crore, CGST ₹35,434 crore and cess ₹12,879 crore. Collections had reached an all-time high of ₹2.37 lakh crore in April 2025, and cumulative gross collections for April–May 2025 were ₹4,37,767 crore, up 14.3%.
