The awards were given by Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh at the 28th National Conference on e-Governance in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, after evaluation of more than 1.45 lakh entries. Rohini Gram Panchayat (Dhule, Maharashtra) won Gold, West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat (West Tripura, Tripura) won Silver, and Palsana (Surat, Gujarat) and Suakati (Kendujhar, Odisha) received Jury Awards. Rohini is the first Gram Panchayat in Maharashtra with a fully paperless e-Office, offering 1,027 online services.
