On 18 November 2024 in New Delhi, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched the Grievance Redressal Assessment and Index (GRAI) 2023, designed by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) on the recommendation of a Parliamentary Standing Committee. It assessed 89 central ministries and departments on four dimensions — efficiency, feedback, domain and organisational commitment — and 11 indicators. The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare topped Group A, the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General topped Group B, and DIPAM topped Group C. 85 of the 89 showed improved scores over 2022.
