First Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon held in Delhi and at 46 Air Force Stations
The first-ever Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 (SIM-25), named after Param Vir Chakra awardee Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, culminated in Delhi on 2 November 2025 with more than 12,000 runners.

The Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon held on 2 November 2025 drew over 45,000 participants from 46 Air Force Stations across the country in 21 km, 10 km and 5 km categories, in addition to the Delhi run. It was attended by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, who himself ran the 21 km. The event honoured Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, a Param Vir Chakra awardee.
